Roast the table, not Sarah
莎 and 拉 are foreign-name syllables. There is no 百家姓 in first position. Natives hear “the English name Sarah, written in Chinese,” then, said fast, salad. That is the said-fast homophone on the native-sound checklist — the same family as 山姆 / Shamu in the China Daily piece already cited on the funny-names post.
