Famous foreigners whose Chinese names look like names

Proof, not a catalog to copy. These are public, attested 2–3 character strings — or, in Dashan’s case, a two-character stage name he actually uses — against the Xinhua / classroom spelling they would not wear. Every row has a live source. We roast the pipeline (teacher defaults, 间隔号, news-wire 音译), not a private person’s face. We will not mint you a 李雅琴.

What this table is for

Teachers and generators point at 约翰 and call it a Chinese name. Public figures who actually live in Chinese media mostly do the other thing: a real 姓, a short 名, no middle dot. 凯文 is Kill. 陆克文 is Keep. Same English. Opposite grammar. That is the whole product.

大山 is the honest exception in the list: two characters, no surname, a stage name like Sting. Offices still reach for 马克·罗斯维尔. We include it because he said so, not because it is a 百家姓 template.

This is not a generator

Check the name you already have. Do not scrape this table for a costume. If you want a native-style name, that intake is Get a name — still not minted on this page.

Check the name you have

Paste the characters. Keep / Kill / Fix. Then want native → /get.

2–6 Han characters. The name you already have — not a wish list.
