Chinese Name Check (chinesenamecheck.com) is a free checker for a Chinese name you already have. This page is the whole policy.

What we collect

When you run a check we store the Chinese characters, the optional English name, the verdict, and a timestamp. That is how the result stays on the page and how the longer report can be unlocked.

If you type an email, we store it with that check so we can reveal the written report. Email is for that unlock only. We do not send mail, newsletters, or sequences. There is no third-party email API on this MVP.

If you leave an email on the Get a name page, we store it as a waitlist note in the same kind of local JSON file. Same rule: stored, not mailed.

Where it lives

Submissions are written to a local JSON file in this app's environment (on Vercel, a temporary filesystem). This is an MVP store, not a customer data platform. Do not paste secrets or other people's private data into the form.

What we do not do

We do not sell lists. We do not run ads against your name. We do not require an account. We do not claim live community voting. We do not need a model vendor key to produce a verdict.
